Ain't No Mountians high enough....

Don't ask me why I choose this title, I have absolutely no idea, the song just kept repeating in my mind so I just decided to honour it.

Oh, I went to a successful interview this afternoon. Yes, dear, I got the internship, that really pays better than my ex full time job. And guess what, I am not even required to turn up at the office. At your flexible time. Cool. Anyway that made me really happy today.

Before the interview, I was preparing myself mentally for questions that were to come my way. You kow, the typical questions that I never fail to get when I attend interviews:
  1. I realised that you took a very interesting undergraduate study in architecture. Why the sudden switch? Hell, yes, architecture is very interesting, very entertaining, why do you think I will leave the career? Obviously a lack of interest, lah, not to mention also a lack of talent, lah. What sudden switch? No sudden switch, one term into the course, I knew that I wanted out but no guts, so i stayed on, took my degree and then ran off. Oh, I discovered my forte which is in marketing and marketing brought me to business and here I am taking MBA to allow me to better understand the business world.
  2. Tell me about your previous working experiences. Oh it is written clearly in the resume, mah. 1st job: No prospects, 2nd job : sucky environment, venom everywhere. Arh, my 1st job was with xxx and the management had given me the opportunity to go into the marketing department. I helped run the marketing department (actual fact, only one person in the fucking department, I run and run). Oh 2nd with xxx provided me with the exposure of higher marketing budget and provide an understanding of retailers.
  3. What are your career objectives? Big bucks. Oh I look for satisfaction in a career, personal development and challenges. I foresee myself leading a highly challenging career path as a consultant or marketeer.

So you see, life is really about marketing yourself to others. Doesn't matter what you think just as long you get others to think the way you want to think.

Get real.
